HARMONICS 2026: The International Conference on Music, Medicine & Science - October 2026
Elizabeth Krasnoff, PhD. is honored to serve on the Advisory Board for this year’s HARMONICS 2026: The International Conference on Music, Medicine & Science, organized by the University of California Institute for Prediction Technology and taking place at the UC Irvine Student Center in Irvine, CA.
📅 Wednesday–Thursday, October 28–29, 2026 | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
HARMONICS stands for Health, Arts, Research, Medicine, Outcomes, Neuroscience, Innovation, Clinical Science, and Sound. The conference brings together researchers, clinicians, artists, educators, patients, and innovators to explore the role of music and sound in health, medicine, neuroscience, and clinical practice.
Over two days, attendees will experience keynote lectures, panels, research presentations, posters, and live performances across three tracks:
- Basic and Translational Approaches: experimental, clinical, and intervention-based studies on the effects of music on health
- Shaping the Future of Music & Medicine: digital, technology-driven, and AI-based approaches to music and health
- Experiential Music in Medicine: patient experiences, musical performances, and other experiential and therapeutic activities
This year’s keynote speakers are Emi Ferguson, an internationally acclaimed flutist, composer, and singer, presenting Care in Common: Leveraging the Arts for Health Equity, and Brian Harris, Founder and CEO of MedRhythms, presenting Music by Prescription: The Intersection of Music, Neuroscience, and Technology.
The conference is CBMT approved for 14 CMTE credits for music therapists and offers 9 CME credits for clinicians.
It has been a privilege to help guide a conference that brings science and music together in such a meaningful way, and I’m excited to connect with everyone advancing this field.
I hope to see you there! 🎶🎧
