We will explore how rhythmic sounds—specifically binaural beats—alter human consciousness, mood, and perception by entraining thalamocortical brain pathways to induce deep, psychedelic-like relaxation. Following a presentation on the latest neural and behavioral research behind these "digital drugs," attendees will participate in a 30-minute Alpha Theta Binaural Beats Silent Disco featuring original tracks on the Sound Medicine® App, designed to enhance mood and trigger relaxation in as little as 10 to 30 minutes.

 

In addition to my presentation, I am excited to be hosting daily Sound Medicine® Live Sessions , October 12th-15th from 1pm-1:45pm in the Garden Room. 

 

Participants are invited to settle in, listen, and observe the direct effects of sound on
attention, mood, and awareness through an experiential in-person sound treatment exploring binaural beats.
